Course Objectives
- Have an in-depth understanding of what the research says we should be eating (and not eating) to lose weight, reduce our risk of chronic conditions, improve our mood, and improve our cognitive function.
- Understand just how much the foods we eat can impact almost every aspect of life, from our moods, behavior, cognitive function, immunity, and overall health.
- Know what foods to eat to significantly decrease the risk of chronic diseases, autoimmune diseases, neurodegenerative diseases, mental disorders, cancer, accidents, and negative choices/behavior caused by brain fog and negative emotions.
- Know the amazing benefits specific nutrients can provide.
- Be able to describe what a healthy meal and healthy diet look like.
- Know the science-backed healthy eating strategies listed on the “Healthy Eating Checklist” provided in section seventeen.
- Demonstrate how to present nutrition science in a way that engages and resonates with audiences.

About the Course Creator
Lacy Ngo is a nationally recognized registered dietitian and author. She obtained her undergraduate degree in Human Nutrition at Clemson University and her graduate degree in Human Nutrition at Winthrop University. She has counseled and taught thousands of people as a nutrition instructor at Winthrop University, a one-on-one nutrition counselor, a Dialysis dietitian, a Hospice Dietitian, a guest speaker, and an author. She has written many books including a #1 New Release in its genre and a Top 100 overall Kindle Amazon book. She has been featured and quoted in media outlets such as Fitbit.com, Byrdie, Parade, The Healthy, Eat This, Not That, FOX 24, CN2, and more. She was also a weekly nutrition columnist for one of the largest newspapers in South Carolina.
